Michael
Kuzilny
Michael, the author of A Life in
Crime published by New Holland Publishers
– Australia, is a prominent
defence lawyer who has been working in the State’s criminal justice system
since 1986.
He
spent ten years as a police officer and then ten
years as a criminal defence lawyer in Melbourne.
Michael has a Bachelor
of Laws with Honours and has completed extensive studies in Court Defence
Advocacy & Prosecutions, Traffic and traffic alcohol law, and white collar
crime. He has studied both at Monash University in Victoria, and Bond
University on the Gold Coast. He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria
and its Criminal Law Section.

'The Texan' Longley, Michael has been a trusted media
commentator on legal affairs for more than 10 years and frequently appears on
radio, television and in newspapers in the hope of better informing and
educating people about their legal rights and simplifying the complexities of
our legal system.
He is a columnist for the Leader
Community Newspaper Group and has published a motivational book ‘The 10 Laws
of Success’ to assist his clients get back on track, and to live happier and
more successful lives.
Michael also hosts the excellent A
Life in Crime TV show on Channel 31 at 9.30 on Wednesday evenings with
social commentator Aleta Howe. The pair interview former crims who discuss their
lives and the many regrets they have about the crimes they have committed and
the years they have spent in jail. He is also a regular on several current
affairs and news programs on the three commercial networks.
